 The InfoCenter AlpTransit near the north portal of the Gotthard Base Tunnel at Erstfeld provides information about construction of the Gotthard Base Tunnel as well as about the Canton of Uri with its many possibilities for excursions.
Covering a surface area of more than 400 square metres, models, original objects, and audiovisual media show how the world's longest tunnel is taking shape deep under the Gotthard massif. Construction of the new Gotthard Rail Link becomes an experience for both young and old. The exhibition includes an attractive self-presentation of the Canton of Uri. In addition, a construction-site walkway and two galleries allow visitors to explore the 40 000 square metres construction site of the NRLA at Erstfeld on foot. The Canton of Uri is represented in the Erstfeld InfoCenter with its own exhibition and an information desk.
