This friendly, compact village is characterised by the charm of the Benedictine Monastery, the wonderfully refreshing countryside and the impressive mountain panorama. Cable cars take you in all directions, whether to the 3020 m. high Titlis glacier, the Brunni or the Fürenalp - and lots of good restaurants and cosy mountain huts are waiting to welcome you.
In summer enjoy the fresh alpine air and give your senses a treat: 360 kilometres of hiking paths await keen hikers, walkers or Nordic walkers. If you are longing for adventure, then you'll find it in the Flying Fox Rope Park, or by abseiling into a glacier crevasse or on a strenuous fixed-rope climb. We guarantee there's no time for boredom on our varied summer programme.
In winter, sportsmen and women thrill at the variety of lovely, snow-sure runs. Families, cross-country skiers, winter hikers, snowshoe walkers, Nordic walkers, touring skiers and snowboarders are all very welcome and they all find what they're looking for.
